The Central Synagogue of Hadera

The impressive building was built between 1935 and 1941. It was designed as a fortress, to protect the Hadera’s citizens in times of Arab attacks .It has a tall watch tower, overlooking the Shomron mountains. The arched windows served as shooting holes. During the construction of the synagogue, the K’han building was heavily damaged.
